IND101: Studio 1: Human Needs 1- Scales and Proportions

Description: In this human-centered design studio module, students were introduced to human needs at a basic level with respect to scales and proportions of the human body and of design form. Design issue was selected individually based on user research and the problem should be solved or relieved with innovative product designs.

The seat is positioned near the door of the carriage, so elderly people could easily access to it. Backrest and cushion are all well considered in ergonomics for a comfortable experience. Based on the curved design of the wall, the seat could move up and down with the built-in orbit.
